Proclamation

Be it known that

Whereas, digital fusion fest is a rededication of the City’s newly-upgraded community television studios for productions on channels 10, 11, and 16, managed by channelAustin; and,

Whereas, The facilities have enjoyed a $1 million technology upgrade and are now a fully-realized HD digital media center, poising channelAustin to become the place for digital media training, production, and distribution in Central Texas; and,

Whereas, Every Austin resident now has the opportunity to shoot with cutting edge HDV cameras, edit on Apple’s industry-standard software and produce live TV shows in an environment on par with, or better than most, in our area;

Now, Therefore,

I, Lee Leffingwell, Mayor of the City of Austin, Texas

do hereby proclaim

October 10, 2009 as digital fusion fest day in Austin
