Austin, TX – Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell yesterday proclaimed October 10, 2009 to be “digital fusion fest day”.
The digital fusion fest is taking place on Saturday, October 10, from 2:00 to 5:30 PM at channelAustin, located at 1143 Northwestern Avenue in East Austin.

Be it known that
Whereas, digital fusion fest is a rededication of the City’s newly-upgraded community television studios for productions on channels 10, 11, and 16, managed by channelAustin; and,
Whereas, The facilities have enjoyed a $1 million technology upgrade and are now a fully-realized HD digital media center, poising channelAustin to become the place for digital media training, production, and distribution in Central Texas; and,
Whereas, Every Austin resident now has the opportunity to shoot with cutting edge HDV cameras, edit on Apple’s industry-standard software and produce live TV shows in an environment on par with, or better than most, in our area;
Now, Therefore,
I, Lee Leffingwell, Mayor of the City of Austin, Texas
do hereby proclaim
October 10, 2009 as digital fusion fest day in Austin
