Austin, TX – channelAustin is launching a Final Cut rapidFire editing competition as part of the digital fusion fest - its celebratory event to unveil the $1 million upgrade of Austin’s digital community media center and television studios.
Final Cut Pro has become an industry standard for video and film editing. channelAustin has fully embraced this revolutionary Apple product that has truly brought high-end editing capability into the hands of thousands.
At the digital fusion fest on Oct. 10, 2009, at 3:00 PM, ten (10) contestants will test their Final Cut Pro editing skills to compete for valued prizes. The rapidFire editors, working from the same material, will have 30 minutes to edit a 30 second promo.
A panel of three judges from the Austin film community will determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place winners who will be awarded valuable annual memberships. The top promos will also air on channelAustin's 10, 11, and 16.
The rapidFire editing competition is open to anyone. The ten seats will fill on a first-come first-served basis. The contest entry fee is only $10.
